Yeah, there shouldn't be anything loose inside the fader, nor should you be disassembling it... but if that located the problem...

So my crossfader on my gold edition S9 stopped working abruptly. I figured maybe a software issue and did the appropriate reset and firmware update. Still didn't work.
Today I decided to check the bumpers inside, so followed the instructions, removed the faceplate, everything looked good. However, I noticed a SMALL SQUARE MAGNET was loose inside the fader, it was stuck to the track magnetically, but just loose. I managed to pull it out with a pair of tweezers.
I assume this is something I'll need to have serviced? Or is this piece easily placed in the fader somewhere I can do myself?
Anyone have a similar issue or know what this piece might be?
