using the cue buuton when mic is connected

i have an sx2, and i connected a mic to mic1.  when i try to cue it in the headphones, i am unable to hear anything, unless the line is up.  is there a quick fix for that?  Also, will there be a update to rectify this

@Bobby > Per the user manual, the cue button on the SX/SX2 becomes a talk-over button when the channel input is switched to MIC. Unfortunately there is no ability to preview the mic audio before sending it to the master output.
