Yeah for me the same. For usb line output of pc i dont get any sound in mixer but over Traktor / RekordboxDJ everything works great.
Hello,
i m very disapointed.
I m trying to make working my USB input to simply play from my PC directly on the mixer using USB.
I ve tried many things:
--> Changing USB cable.
--> Using another PC.
--> Reinstalling driver.
--> Switching input port from A to B, then B to A, then A to B...
--> Flashing mixer with latest firmware (1.10)
--> Reinstalling the driver
...
In fact when i plug the USB cable, even on A or B port, the LED become fix, and the DJM utility is detecting the port i m connected to!
But nothing! I ve tried for hours, many sources, many software, to touch boutons on mixer...i m sure i m on the good chanel, i m sure the master level is up enough, i m sure of everything on the table, everything is detected, but nothing!
What am i missing? Is my new mixer already broken?
I ve tried with 2 differents laptop, Windows 7 pro 64 bit, and Windows 8.1 pro 64 bit.
Please help me to fix it.
Pierre

Pioneer can you please give me more information about that?
I m trying to play reason 8 using my DJM as a sound card...when i bought it Pioneer reseller told me that i ll be able to use the mixer as external sound card!
Are you kidding with customers?
Second point, i discover that i have to pay a licence if i want to use rekordbox, but it s the only software certified for the table.
I was thinking it was free to use when you buy a mixer at that price! Just to know, it s about 2 months of work at lower pay price, i m expecting to be able to use it!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your fast answer!
Pierre
Yes I am also very dissappointed that RekordboxDJ license is not tied to such a highend line product and its given price. Shame on the money machine... !
Same issue here.
It worked with Firmware 1.07 for me. After updating to 1.10 it doesn't work anymore. In Addition I don't get the Link Monitor function work.

@Pierre > Chances are Reason 8 is a 64bit application and as there are no 64bit drivers yet (they're coming soon!), you can't use the ASIO output for the DJM, which is required in order to access the individual channels. You can download a copy of Reason 8.1 which allows you to run in 32bit mode, which will allow you to access your DJM drivers.
@Frank > That's not firmware related; chances are your link monitor doesn't work due to a firewall. Please see this article for additional instructions to troubleshoot your rekordbox / network issues.
@Chris > rekordbox DJ is not available free with non-DDJ-R products, regardless of price, as they do not require rekordbox DJ to operate.
Pulse,
thanks, ProLink was already working, just the Link Monitor not. However after disabling Norton Security completey Link Monitor started to work. I Need to adjust the rules in Norton.
my feedback on the Firmware update was about playing over USB. This still is a problem. As it was working with the previous Firmware version I need to check if it is about the 64Bit driver problem. I am running Win Pro 10 64Bit and got 64Bit Audio software Running. I need to do some more testing with 32bit related software.

Just a comment.
With Voicemeeter or ASIO4ALL I got the USB playback with the DJM-900NXS2 to work.
However - just for channel 1/2 - not for the others. Here we have to wait for the 64Bit Driver update coming from Pioneer...
For me this workaround mitigates the issue even it is not the full solution.
Frank
@Frank > Glad to hear you found the Norton securtiy fix!
No, it's not a firmware thing - it's the drivers. With 32bit software, it will work just fine as the drivers are 32bit, but with any 64bit software, you'll either get just 1/2 (over WASAPI) or nothing at all as the ASIO drivers don't show up.
Using 3rd party audio tools like Voicemeeter or A4A won't necessarily help depending on what you're trying to do and with which software.
@Pulse.
Understood.
Hello,
Ok i m gonna get the mixer back to the store, and buy a allen & heat instead.
I don t buy a mixer 2300 € to hear that i ve to install another version of my software because Pionee dont give the good driver with the product...
I think it s my last Pioneer product!
Well thats so funny to hear that a product in 2016 has only 32 bit driver... are we back in 2013? I wish Pio would give a free license if you use CDJ and this kind of Mixer.
Anyway ... I ordered myself a 900NX2 but without a 64bit driver it's useless for me ;(
As previously noted, until recently, there was very little need for DJ software to be running in 64bit mode (and most still don't require it). DAW / production software have more necessity to be able to address more than 4GB of RAM and as such have been available in 64bit flavours for longer, but as the Pioneer DJ mixers are primarily targeted at DJs, the market segment asking for 64bit drivers has been pretty narrow and thus little incentive for the engineers to develop those drivers.
I have also mentioned that 64bit drivers are on their way, but most of you will find very little in terms of performance difference running a 32bit work-around.
I can be with 32bit for the moment thats not the problem - It would be nice to see an announcement something like 64bit is comming this year. So that the community know "Alright they do something and 64 bit is comming"
"64bit is coming this year."
lol ! nice one ;)
:D
So, is this ever going to get fixed? I still have the same problem even with all the new drivers and flash updates installed.
@Anthony > This thread is full of a variety of issues and questions; could you please post a new topic and post your question there? Thanks.
