Pioneer DDJ-RB ASIO Driver Error While Opening

Hey!

Rekordbox says "Error while opening" when I want to select audio "DDJ-RB ASIO".

I did everything (as Administrator):

- Uninstall all drivers

- Uninstall full Rekordbox

- Restart PC

- Install Rekordbox 4.1.2

- Restart PC then install DDJ-RB Driver

- Connect the DDJ-RB and Install the latest firmware v1.02 then launch Rekordbox

I select audio and the rekordbox STILL says "Error while opening" to DDJ-RB ASIO.

This error showed up after I plug the speakers into my PC and turn On the PC Master Out function and then I plug back the speakers to DDJ-RB and turn OFF the PC Master Out. But the rekordbox didn't detected the audio so I went to Audio settings and rekordbox gave me this error.

Please help me figuring out whats wrong with it.

I could fix it. After 1 day and a lot of restarts I restarted again my PC when DDJ-RB was connected and then it was good, the Rekordbox detected the DDJ-RB ASIO Driver by itself.

Did you install the driver for the first time after installing rekordbox 4.1.2?
Or, did you update the already-installed rekordbox to 4.1.2? If so, which version did you use before updating to 4.1.2?

I used rekordbox 4.2.0 with DDJ-RB driver, but its full laggy and slow, so I switched back to 4.1.2.
Then happened this issue when switching the PC Master Out function On/Off. So I removed all drivers and the full rekordbox software. I installed again the 4.1.2 and install the DDJ-RB Driver.

We experienced some issues with the 4.2.0 release and currently have a 4.2.0b re-release available as a beta, an official update will be posted next week. Please try again at that time and if you still have problems post back and we'll be happy to assist.

If your problem is with driver signing, please update Windows first.

@Felipe > Try putting Windows into Disable Driver Signing mode and tell me if that works:

  1. Click the Start menu and select Settings.
  2. Click Update and Security.
  3. Click on Recovery.
  4. Click Restart now under Advanced Startup.
  5. Click Troubleshoot.
  6. Click Advanced options.
  7. Click Startup Settings.
  8. Click on Restart.
  9. On the Startup Settings screen press 7 or F7 to disable driver signature enforcement.

FYI: After restarting again, driver signing will be re-enabled.

Another one with the same problem in 4.2.2. When will we have a efective solution?

Have you FULLY updated Windows to the latest version including ALL service packs? That turns out to be the problem more often than anything else.

I have updated my Windows 10 with all the latest updates and I still get the driver signing issue/error opening ASIO. Only way to fix is to boot into Disable Driver Signing mode. Is there anything I can do to be able to use the ASIO driver without disabling driver signing?

Sure. Windows 7 Home Premium with service pack 1 and all the updates installed. Don't mind, that is not the reason for the faulty drivers.

I'm getting the same with my DDJ RR. I'm on 4.2.4 and windows/updates are up to date.

First:

  1. Unplug your RR
  2. Uninstall your RR driver
  3. Restart your PC
  4. Run any Windows updates you may not yet have installed
  5. SHUT DOWN (not restart) your PC
  6. Install the RR driver with administrative privileges (right-click > Run as Administrator)
  7. Restart your PC
  8. Open rekordbox
  9. Connect your RR
  10. Check the preferences

If that doesn't work, try the driver signing mode as noted above.
