DDJ 800 comes up with random settings

OK, I love love love my DDJ 800, but there is one thing that is less than perfect: it initializes with some settings in random positions when I turn it on.

Beat Sync and Master seem to be the most common ones, but I've also caught Vinyl, Master Tempo, and Quantize in different positions when I turn on.   I've even seen Crossfader Assign come up in the ON position.

The result is that I need to carefully check every setting when I start every time.

Is there some way to do a global reset, or some startup order that I need to do? rekordbox then DDJ, or vice-versa?

I am using a mac and I am on the latest software for rekordbox.
