Can’t access streaming services on Rekordbox for iOS connected to XDJ

I’ve managed to connect my iPhone via usb to the XDJ. I get 2 source options, software control & iPhone. Software control seems to do nothing. iPhone allows me to play music on my phone via the iOS rekordbox app. However, when the app isn’t connected to the XDJ I can access Tidal through it, when I connect to the XDJ I’m stuck with rekordbox local collection only. Can anyone advise? I thought it’s because the hardware unlock doesn’t work on iPhone, but streaming services are supported on the free plan, and work when not connected to the XDJ.
