Hi.
Regarding your fist question. By any chance is your Mix knob all the way set to Master? If so you wouldn't hear the Touch preview. You would need to turn it towards Cue to hear it.

S’abonnerCDJ-3000 with DJM-900NXS2 Touch Preview + other questions
Hi all. I've got a few small problems with my new CDJ-3000's that I hope someone can help with...
1. When I used my CDJ-3000s for the first time the other day I found that the 'touch preview' function didn't work when I pushed the preview waveform while browsing. I have a DJM-900NXS2 and followed the instructions to use the Link Cue button on the mixer. My CDJs and mixer are connected together with an ethernet switch box, and all the other link functions seem to work fine. Any ideas why it doesn't work?
2. Also, the new function of being able to 'touch cue' (or whatever it's called - listen to a later part of the playing track by holding a finger on the waveform and using Link Cue on my mixer) didn't work. Instead it kept setting a bar countdown like on older CDJs. Any idea what I might be doing wrong here?
3. One more question... I have my Key format set to the Camelot system in rekordbox and ALL of my tracks are analysed in the Camelot format. When I browse tracks on the CDJ-3000 it shows them in Camelot format, but on the playing screen (with the waveform, etc) the key on some tracks is displayed in the standard key format (eg. Amaj, etc). A lot of my tracks were purchased from Beatport and I know they use the standard key format, but I have since analysed them all in rekordbox using the Camelot system, so I assume that should override Beatport's tags. Any idea why this might be happening?
I should add that I updated the CDJ firmware to the latest version prior to using the CDJs for the first time. As far as I'm aware, my DJM firmware is up to date too.
I am playing my music via USB stick drives analysed with rekordbox 5, so could this be the cause of the problems above?
Sorry for the long-winded questions. I thought I should provide as much info as possible. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your reply Frank. Yeah I've tried all permutations with the mixing knob. You name it, I've tried it!
Having done a LOT of googling (Pioneer don't make this info easy to find) I'm fairly certain these features don't work if I'm using rekordbox v.5. It seems to be a feature that's exclusive to v.6 so I need to upgrade. Quite why these features aren't baked into the CDJs as a default I've no idea.
Hi Hubie.
if you are using rekordbox v5, have you enabled 'Link Monitor'?
You should give this a try.
Otherwise you can use it in stand alone mode with a USB device connected directly with the CDJ-3000.
I'd never noticed that option before! I'll give it a go. Thanks Frank :)
I'm not sure what you mean by 'stand alone mode'? I export my music to a USB stick drive and then plug that into my CDJs, so I'm not using HID mode or anything like that.
Anyway, thanks for your help. I'll see if the 'Link Monitor' setting works and report back later.
Hubie,
if you export your music to an USB it should work right away. rekordbox v5 doesn't matter in this case. The link mode only worked after a specific firmware version for the DJM-900nxs2. Please check your firmware of the 900nxs2 and update if not the latest. Version 2.07 is the latest available in the archive for discontinued products

I had the same setup and used Link Cue without problem. Now I have an A9 and can't check if there is a problem with your combination and CDJ-3000 firmware 3.00
If you continue to have issues, you better explain what you do on the DJM and CDJ. i.e. Link Cue button on the DJM enabled or not. etc.
Good luck.
Hi Frank.
I am a total idiot! Even though I was 100% certain I had the latest firmware update installed on my DJM, I actually only had the previous version installed! Epic facepalm! Anyway, I updated to v.2.07, and I also selected the 'Link Monitor' setting as you suggested the other day, and everything is now working perfectly. Thank you again for your help.
I can only apologise once again for being a massive idiot. Lesson learned: always check, double check and triple check your software is up to date!
