How to get rid of built in demo tracks on DDJ-FLX4 (is this expected?)

I just started playing around with the DDJ-FLX4 and even without Rekordbox or Serato launched, when I hit the play button on either deck, there is some demo-like track invoked. Its as if its embedded in the firmware or something and I have no idea how to remove these. Even when I load my own tracks, if I click the play button in the software they play ok BUT if I press the actual button on the hardware these demo tracks kick in over the top of my loaded tracks. Its so strange and Im at a loss. Any advice would be awesome.
