The CDJ already has a decent overhead for hot signals, my recommendation is to adjust the input gain at the mix stage.
Optional -6dBFS internal pad in settings of CDJs to prevent intersample distortion on hot masters
Optional -6dBFS internal pad in utility/settings for firmware updateable CDJs to prevent intersample distortion on hot masters. -6dBFS would be the easiest math. Might also be useful for matching some mixers that run real hot already internally or want quieter inputs than the CDJ normally has. By the way, I do like how CDJs are currently bit perfect out the digital out when pitch is at zero and such a setting is not switched on. I think you guys are the only company that does that currently.
