Automix can be better...

As a wedding DJ, I have been looking for ONE piece of software for YEARS that will do everything I want. Rekordbox is close. I use a second piece of software for dinner music because of its superior automix features. RB now has automix but it needs improvement. Pioneer, PLEASE allow settings in a newer version to allow users to set where the songs mix in and out... something similar to what virtual DJ or Megaseg do. If you can do that, I'm Rekordbox exclusive all the way!

The automix function is in its infancy and was really only added for those looking for an alternative to one track ending (to silence) before the next track plays when going through a playlist. The primary function of rekordbox is for a DJ to do the mixing themselves. That said, the requests have been made, so we'll see how it improves in future updates. Thanks for the feedback.

Pulse. I completely understand the software being for DJs mixing themselves. However, there are a bunch of us Wedding DJs out here (not just club DJs) who like this product and would LOVE to be able to run just ONE piece of software the entire evening. Right now, I run dinner music on another piece of software, then switch to RB for the party portion because, of course I wouldn't allow automix for THAT... but, to be able to trust a basic mix where it cuts out the silence, but also doesn't cut out big portions of the song, just for dinner, would be ideal. PS... the DDJ-1000 ROCKS!

I'm a wedding DJ myself, and I understand what you're asking.

Personally, I mix dinner and cocktail music - that's what I'm there for, so I'm not inclined to use automix, but even at its current iteration, the fact it transitions from one track to the next with a simple crossfade is enough for most guests to not really notice.

Not need to have a loud discussion, I agreed with both. In the one side is good to be mixing live since it will be more fun for the DJ and the party owner would feel as his money is well spend. In the other side there is alway that moment in which we like to do something witch make take the DJ away from the DJ equipment but rather than put on a Break type of song, we will king to select the song we want to play but have point in which the song will switch to the next one. I have used all the main DJ software but I am now a Rekordbox user because I really like where they are going but Traktor and VDJ have that feature which I believe is an important feature to have. While we are talking about features, please Pioneer add something similar to "Serato Flip" to Rekordbox. A sequencer feature is good but the ability to remix a song on the fly is a most.

I totally agree with the above comment that there should be something like virtual djs automix implemented into the RB software, many djs have to leave our dj booth to go line up the bridal party, or talk to the B&G/banquet manager/staff/bridal party/whoever to make sure everything is good with the reception or line up the next special moment, theres so many things that US DJs have to do where have to leave the dj area and REQUIRE some form of automix, not all DJs have a wedding planner that we can just bring over to the dj area and have them do stuff for us... the comment made by the pioneer "official" "admin" kinda irritates me, or whatever he is... about him "personally mixing dinner and cocktail music", thats just awesome... good for you. that comment should have no relevance to this conversation..  everyone is different and goes thru different situations!!!! its something that a user(someone thats pays for pioneer products) wants in the program that he uses and i agree with him!!! im almost going to buy the DDJ1000 but i kinda wanna wait to see if this feature will be added!!!!

sorry if i come off rude. but dang. give the features to what the users are asking for!!
