RMX 1000/500 are the FX post fader on an RX2

Hi

On an RX2 the RMX unit needs to be connected on the Master OUT.

In this instance, will the effects through the RMX unit be post fader?

I read that on an DJM900NSX2 and RMX unit connected via send and return will be pre-fader, which on the one hand is a good thing when cueing so you can tweak the effect in the left ear before pushing it out, on the other hand post fader is nice.

Thx

Because the RX2 doesn't have a S/R loop, there is no ability to preview the effects, or to have them pre-fader, when in use post-master.

So just to clairfy so I understand this properly:

- In the RX2 case, will my RMX effect keep on going if I fade down on one channel (post-fader)

- In the case of the 900NSX2 when using send and return, will I be able to both preview the effect(pre-fader) and my effect will keep on going when I fade down on either of the 4 channels(post-fader)?

Thx

RX2: Yes.

DJM: If you assign the effect to the channel and you take the channel down, no - it's cut off. But if you assign it to the master and take the channel down, yes, it will continue.

Can you please listen to Mojaxx's video reviewing the 900NSX2 saying that in order to get post-fader effects via an RMX you need to assign them to the cross fader, which lots of people never use, including me That section starts at minute: 6:08 on the following link:

The way I interpret this in his review, is that in order to be able to get POST-FADER effects via send and return on an 900NSX2, you can ONLY get that via the cross fader, and NOT the regular up-faders. If that's what he says it will probably confuse lots of potential buyers.

But what you are saying is that I can get post fader both via the normal up-faders and the cross fader if I choose to use that one.

Yes, as long as the effect is assigned to the XF or the master, your effects will be post-fader for a channel.
