Pioneer DDj-1000 key issue with jogwgwheel

I'm used to mixing tracks with the key being numerical and Rekordbox DJ anylizes the tracks showing the key in letters so my work around for now Mixed In Keys to get the numerical key. As soon as I choose undo tag the key section on my computer now shows the numerical key from Mixed In Key which I like but now the key is not displayed on the jogwheel screen. That area is now blank on the jog display. Is there a way I can make it show up on the jog display after I undo the tag. PS Longtime Serato user but so far after switching over I'm very impressed with the Pioneer DDJ-1000  and Rekordbox Dj performance mode. Has been rock solid with no glitches or problems using live. Keep up the good work. Thanks Dj snow

Sorry, the key is currently only listed when it's in the standard notion, not Camelot notation. We hope this is added in a future update.

Thanks for the feedback!

Pulse, but is it already in roadmap for next updates?

It's still under consideration due to licensing.

In my opinion, this function should not require licensing, because it's a feature that read a value on music tag. The rekordbox user that is the reponsable to change the value in the specific format, as on CDJ 2000. But the laws are laws!

It's a simple feature but great for me and others too.

Thanks again!

I greatly rely on this. The Camelot system is patented by Mixed in Key. They have expressed their desire to guys to work with Pioneer/Rekordbox, however the decision is on the Pioneer side.
There is even a petition online to convince you guys at Pioneer to allow the Camelot System.

"Allow" isn't the right word... we'll allow it, but there's a cost for licensing. It's the same reason we don't support NFTS-formatted drives; licensing costs.

Again, it's under consideration but we don't have any other information to provide you at this time.

I bought the DDJ 1000 also and i'm really happy with it, only when i unboxed the controller and installed it with Rekordbox after booting up the controller and Rekordbox i've noticed the the ledlight around the left start/pause button don't work!:-/ I know it's only a light but is it worth to return the unit to the shop and ask for another one? I"ve bought it online and i don't wanna give up playing music with it for probably a week orso, Maybe it's just a cheap light and sooner or later it maybe will stop lighting up again?

@gwen > All products are QC'd before they leave the factory, so it's possible the unit was bumped / jarred in transport and either the component or a connection has failed. If the button works, you could simply continue to use it - but I understand that it's a frustration when something simple like that fails.

My two recommendations:

- contact the retailer and let them know immediately; they may have a replacement process if you want to go that route

- consider an in-warranty repair; depending on where you're located and where your nearest shop is, this process may take longer than the retail exchange

@Pulse Thanks for your continues support.

With Regard to Key identification on the the jog wheel display of the DDJ 1000, is there any update for the licensing deal with Mixed in Key?
