Being able to sync the DJS-1000 over USB to Rekordbox DJ would be quite useful for those of us that are using controllers. I've recently gone back to using a computer and controller setup rather than CDJ's due to the Pioneer RB-DMX1 lighting interface requiring Rekordbox DJ and the fact that a DDJ-1000 plus a laptop is way lighter than a pair of CDJ-2000NXS2's and a DJM-900NXS2 in a coffin. However, in doing so I've eliminated my ability to sync DJS-1000's over Pro DJ Link and this has put my purchase of a pair of DJS-1000's on hold. I could probably live with just syncing them manually but I plan on using the MIDI data that the DJS-1000's put out to control video playlists and effects in Resolume 6 so the tight sync achieved with Pro DJ LINK would greatly simplify things. Hopefully Rekordbox DJ will one day be able to output the Pro DJ LINK signal over USB and Ethernet.
There is currently no grid data sent from rekordbox in performance mode, but it is something users have requested so it's under consideration. Thanks for the feedback.

You can connect the Pro DJ link in a Hub to use in Ethernet and connect others cdjs, but not Pro DJ Link with USB.

Yes, I'm aware of that. What I am specifically seeking is Pro DJ LINK sync functionality over USB. Pioneer has made it possible on the DJM-900NXS2 for scenarios like when a MacBook Pro without an Ethernet port is used so it certainly seems that Pro DJ LINK sync capability over USB is at least possible.
