DJM-900NXS connection problem with Macbook

Good afternoon! I want to connect the mixer DJM-900NXS to my Macbook Air 13 High Sierra 10.13.6 through the stereo cable 2RCA-mini jack to record the mix, but the remote control is not detected in my Macbook input. What could be the problem?

Well, for starters, that might not be an input - just an output.

And why would you use an analog connection when you can record digitally over the USB connection from the mixer to your computer?
