Understanding deactivate key

Ok if I was to get a new laptop am I correct in saying I can deactivate the key on my old one and then reinstall on the new one. If so is this a limited thing or can I do this any number of times?

You could deactivate and re-activate as often as you'd like; the maximum is 2 current activations per license.
