I use two XDJ-1000mk2 and am wanting a control device to be able to "play" hot cues. I prep with Rekordbox but play computer free.
I'm confused as to the functionality of the DDJ XP1 vs SP1 with an XDJ-1000mk2.
The XP1 has more pads and is less expensive.
The SP1 has less pads and is more expensive.
I know these units have limited functionality with the XDJ-1000mk2, so I'm wondering if either has any advantages in my situation.

The XP1 is a rekordbox based and Midi and the SP1 is Serato based and Midi. For what you have the XP1 could be used for calling up hot cues you have set in rekordbox.
