Crossfader on my DDJ SZ 2 has gotten very loose, only owned this controller for 7 months. I am now afraid to even move it while scratching because i am worried it may break loose - - and i am not just referring to the fader cap, but the actual fader.
Without inspecting the unit, I wouldn't be able to tell if this is due to a manufacturing fault or another cause; please contact Pioneer DJ technical support in your region to have your hardware inspected and/or serviced. As the unit is only 7mo old, it would possibly be covered by warranty if it is not determined to be damage caused by the user.

Can you describe what you're calling "loose"? Like does it wobble or wiggle side to side as opposed to just sliding the length of the fader travel?
thats correct, it is wobbly, as opposed to sliding as it should normally
