Recording mixes with DJM 700

Hello

I have two XDJ-1000's and a DJM 700 and I would like to record my mixes. I am doubting between buying an external recorder (TASCAM DR-05) or an external audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2) which is connected with my laptop. 

For now I prefer the external recorder since it's easier to connect, but I would like to know if there is any difference in the quality of recording the mix?

Either would do - your quality difference would depend on the hardware more than anything.
