Have my DDJ-1000 for some months now and I am extremely happy with it. Unfortunately there is an issue with the jog wheels and the hot pads. For some reason, while I'm mixing, the waveform in the jog wheels get lost and the hot pads turn into one colour, even though I got specific colours for them. I can just fix it by loading a new track (the waveform is back again) and press every hot pad (the normal colour appears again). Not a big deal, but quite annoying for that amount of money.

Hey, I'm having the same situation with mine, when did it start happening to yours? It is kinda annoying when this happens, anyone else having the same issue, or someone who knows how we can get it fixed. Thanks

I can't tell you exactly, but I think for some weeks now. But good to know that this is a general problem.
We'd need to know what firmware is on the unit, as well as which version of rekordbox you're using, and the OS it's running on please!
I have firmware 1.06 and just updated to the Latest rekordbox yesterday

I've got the same. Mojave 10.14.4, firmware 1.06 and latest version of rekordbox. Yesterday I haven't experienced it by the way (1-2h session). But I will continue to watch if it's happening again.
Hi, can someone from pioneer support take a look at this?? The issue persists and no one has ever gotten back to us regarding what happens to the controller, I'd appreciate if someone takes the time to review this and provide a proper answer.

Have you tried using rekordbox 5.5? I'm unable to replicate this here and would need to know if it's related to the version or not.
Rekordbox has been updated and the 5.5 ain't available for me, I get the notice that the 5.6 got released, and updated it right away, why would I go back to a previous version? Can you guys just fix it? It is not only me, as you can see, other people face the exact same issue
We could fix it if we knew it was an issue with 5.6 and not 5.5, which if why I'm asking. You can download the 5.5 version here.

Im facing a similar issue. Brand new product and its happened 4 times already.
Rekordbox is updated so is hardware.

From what we can tell so far, yes - software or firmware, not hardware.
I am still facing the same issue, I've tried using different versions of rekordbox, but yet the exact same thing happens

Its really sad that this issue has happened about 5 times ti me and its been only 45 days since ive purchased the product.
This happened to me for the first time yesterday, the waveform disappeared from the jog dial and the pads changed colour for the remaining duration of the set on both decks. Had my DDJ1000 for about 6 weeks now.

First time ive had issues with Pioneer DJ Product, very disappointing. Next time it happens i'll get a photo/video.

Hello i have updated now on rekordbox 5.7.0 and this is issue is now getting worst ... It happens now everytime BUT the differenz now is if you upload a new track the jogwheel screen and the hot CUE pad page fuction normal again ....PAD FX , BEATJUMP ect still remain with the problem!!!
@DjNek - i agree, after the update its worse. I just wrote on it few days ago.

Here in the Forum they say its a software Problem.
But i Became from the Service Center a E-mail That the Unit Is The Problem

Hey y'all, I just updated the firmware and still the same issue comes up, are really doing something regarding this? it's really frustrating that this has become such a big deal for you guys, I think I speak on behalf of everyone in here as we paid over 1k for this equipment to be having facing this issue, what's next? it might fail while working at the venue, please fix it!
