Left Input Channel LOUDER

I tried everything but the left channel input keeps louder than right channel. I have the latest firmware update and my product is very new, I just bought it. This is my fisrt try to record samples on it. Actually im trying to use it as a Filter FX box on using audio thru but when audio goes in, the righ channel is quieter.

Hardware problem on this brand new unit? Am I making anything wrong?

Hi Diogo, I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this problem.  This is an SP-16, correct?

A quick way to really test this for sure is to use only a single 1/4" cable and test it on each of SP-16s audio inputs to listen for a discrepancy.  Even better is to go into the sampling area and look at the volume meter for the incoming signal.  Plug into the L input, look at level...then plug into the R input and see if there's a difference.   Do this process once with the filter on, then the filter off.  Please let us know what happens and we'll go from there.

Thanks

It´s very strange. When I plug just in the right channel the level comes perfectly fine (just on the right side meter), but when I plug it out and use only the left channel input, it splits the sinal to both sides but inside SP16 the levels shows that the left side is  around 0.5-1.0db louder than the right side. And my audio interface really shows that the audio is really 0.5-1.0db louder on the left output. So the meters is not wrong, it is really splitting the mono signal into 2 channels but the left being louder.

Sorry for my bad english, hope you understand it. It seems that the software when using the left input splits the signal more to the right side. So im having to PAN the channel R6 to be again in the center on meters.

And I think there maybe is a problem on this PAN Knob because initially when I received the hardware this second knob what not working but when I started to try more and more using it, the PAN re-started to work. But now when the Knob stays in middle C (center) the meters goes a little bit to the left and when I put it R6 it goes back to center.

Is there a easy way to fix this? (not having to PAN R6 every time of course )

Hi Diogo, thank you for you patience.

I understand everything you wrote.  Wow, that is very frustrating.

It sounds like a hardware problem.  I am going to create a support ticket for you and someone from the technical support team will contact you.
