Xdj rx2 bad crakling and distortion

I have owned my rx2 for 3 months , had no problems with it. But on the last use it started distorting and crackling really badly. No volumes were overloaded. I have re booted it and straight away it started doing the exact same thing. Can you please help. As stated before no previous problems but 3 mths later sounds terrible. Thank you
