Brett,
I've escalated this to a ticket and I'm going to ask our product team to investigate. Look here or in your inbox for a message soon.
Hello,
I have an XDJ-XZ and sometimes after playing for a little while I will lose the ability to set hot cues. You can still call existing hot cues but can't make new ones. You also cannot delete existing hot cues.
If you shut off the unit and turn it back on the the hot cue behavior is back to normal.
I checked the firmware version and it is 1.22 which appears to be the latest.
Can someone please help?
Thank You!

Hi, Can you try downloading from this link?
I made the video starting when it was not working, cycled the power, then show it working.
Can I ask why you were holding the HOT CUE pad mode button when trying to set the hot cue?
Good question.....thought you had to hold that button!
I'll try it without holding and see if I have a problem. Either way, the deleting while holding SHIFT was still not working so I would suggest that this is still problem.
Thanks.
Hello,
I am just following up on this request. Is there something we can do to fix this?
Thanks,
Brett
Hello,
I am following up on this. I have not received any correspondence from Pioneer.
Thanks,
Brett
Brett,
The engineers would like to know:
・ How long does it take for symptoms to begin to appear?
・ Are there any operations that may trigger the occurrence?
・ Does it occur in any track?
・ Does it occur regardless of which source is played?
・ When a symptom occurs, does PAD not work in other PAD modes (BEAT LOOP, SLIP LOOP, etc.)?
・ Will both DECKs become inoperable when symptoms occur?
Thanks.
Hello,
-It happens 50% of the time that I DJ. Usually happens within the first hour.
-I have not noticed a pattern that triggers it.
-I have not noticed it occurring on any particular tracks.
-I am only using USB as a source. I have not tried other sources.
-All of the other PAD modes work at that time. You just can't make any new hot cues or delete any existing ones.
-It will only happen on one deck. Also, if you change songs then change back to that same song, it will work fine. Almost like it refreshes in some way.
Happy to conduct any further testing if you like.
Thanks,
Brett
Brett,
Thanks for your patience - our engineers have determined this to be a hardware fault and I will direct you to contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your XDJ inspected and/or repaired. Please provide a copy of the purchase receipt for warranty validation. I recommend you contact them in advance to inquire about their current backlog as many ASCs have been closed due to COVID or reduced staffing.
