I'm trying to hook up my XDJ-RX to rekordbox via midi and i'm not having much luck.
I originally tried on Mac but I switched to my Windows PC after much of a struggle and I'm getting the exact same issue!
Anyway, I have installed the XDJ-RX drivers and Rekordbox is recognising the decks and I have selected it as an output on Rekordbox. I have selected 'MIDI' on the decks and it allows me to control the playlists and send a track to each deck, but after that it does not allow me to press play or do anything else. I have reset the MIDI settings as I saw this method on the forum, and i've reinstalled all drivers and updated the firmware on my RX. This issue is IDENTICAL on my Mac too which is strange. Am I missing something?
Also, next issue/question.
Can I use the midi function (the scroll wheel and track selection on the RX) while also using my INTERFACE2 and PLX-1000 via DVS? I would love to have track selection on my controller instead of always having to do it via the laptop. DVS works perfectly (after some issues but it's all good now)

It could be that there is no proper audio device selected, thus the software player itself can't "play" or you've got the IF2 set as the audio interface so it's expecting to see the DVS input.

XDJ-RX Asio is selected as the audio device.. I've reinstalled drivers and completely removed the IF2 USB to try and get only the MIDI working first but still this error (attached a video in this dropbox link) https://www.dropbox.com/s/k26s4wgl9g6wa8c/XDJ-RX.MOV?dl=0

And your video is exactly what I'm trying to achieve as the end goal!
When I have the DVS and MIDI both plugged in, I've managed to get the timecode vinyls to control the waveform in Rekordbox (when I move the vinyl, Rekorbox also responds) and you can see that the PLX's and the XDJ are talking to each other, but there is no audio out.
.. I imagine that as soon as this MIDI issue is solved then everything will fall into place
