Select Isolate for EQ bands with infinite cut for full band “kills,” or select Norm for EQ bands with limited cut.

This should be closed right?

I use Serato - where do I do this "Select Isolate for EQ bands with infinite cut for full band “kills,” or select Norm for EQ bands with limited cut" process ?

Would really love to get a definitive answer to get this working as its been driving me mad and not seemingly having the option to adjust is more than infuriating.

I guess settings, mixer eq isolate?  Move eq to 0 and that freq gets killed.

Are we talking about the DDJ - 1000SRT ( Serato version ) ?

Im sorry if Im being a bit dense but where is this option / how to access ?

I can’t believe I just spent this much $ to not have a standard feature that is on the entry level Pioneer controllers....
Surely there’s potential for a firmware or software workaround?

What club in their right mind would want DJs using Trim to kill the EQ?!

I just find it a poor product move for consumers that have purchased an SRT-1000SRT  and subsequently found that something thats standard is missed from such an expensive bit of kit.  Pioneer surely you can provide a firmware solution - how does something like this not have an option to override - I would have thought it would have been a simple things to adjust firmware to deregister current cut of to a situation where its cuts off to 0db

It’s a severe oversight by Pioneer (and potentially Serato).
The ability to Isolate is in Rekordbox software and seemingly Pioneer did not align this option with Serato.
On purchase I noted that the EQ only went to -26db Min but assumed there would be a check box option in the mixer settings of the software (as is standard in every other software).
Like most DJs nowadays, EQ is the preferred mixing method over faders, and for certain styles the only mixing method to complete clean mixes.
Fixes seem simple:
- Serato add isolate check box under Mixer settings.
or
- Pioneer add a shift setting to toggle isolate.

This is not something that can be added within Serato as the audio is mixed in-hardware, but the request has been escalated again to our planning team for consideration. Thank you for your feedback.

Hi Pulse, I am surprised Serato cannot do this as this is a feature in RKBX.

As one of the multitude of DJs that have purchased a DDJ-1000SRT, its really got to be a no brainer with regards to baking something like this into the firmware.

Without the ability to be choose whether you want to kill the eQ fully or leave it as the default, it really damages the unit - bleeding sound though a mix and having to mix via trim as mentioned before is really not a professional situation.

Its been a while and would be awesome if Pioneer could deliver a Xmas / New Year present of sorts.

Without the ability ( cleanest method seems via firmware ) to kill the eQ, it can only be seen as intentionally crippled.

Furthermore its dismaying that it has taken 5 months for an acknowledgement of the issue - this is a simple requirement.

All for the end use to choose if they wish to use the default eQ setting or if they wish the unit to full kill the respective eQ band when turning the knob to the left.

If Pioneer cant bake in the ability for an end user to choose / decide this simple, simple, simple, simple feature then one has to believe that Pioneer have done this intentionally.
