Hey guys and gals,
Taking off my Pioneer DJ hat for a second to have a chat with those of you on this post and those who may be reading it later...
Let's get this out of the way first - Pioneer DJ as a company values their customers. There should be no question that the products they're making are designed and manufactured with the DJ in mind, and they are willing to stand behind them to support the product and customer.
Regarding products, there are occasionally colour variants offered exclusively through one retailer (like Guitar Center getting a limited production gold controller), or packaged content differences between regions (such as a special software license, or bundled control vinyl), or even full stand-alone products / accessories that aren't available globally (flight cases or hard-shell bags in Europe).
Some of these decisions are actually made regionally because while each region operates as Pioneer DJ, they're also distributors for the company, capable of making decisions for their region. In the case of the S11-SE, North America chose to include the orange Serato control vinyl. This does not mean that Europeans are paying the same amount for less product; it could well be that AlphaTheta Music Americas is actually eating the cost of the vinyl and bundled it as a bonus, or perhaps it even works out to be slightly more at retail over the wholesale cost, but thanks to currency exchange, we'll never really know.
I'm sorry if you live in a region where the SE does not include the orange control vinyl, hopefully you're able to find a set that reflects your unique style as a DJ from the variety of design options available on the market.
