The master deck basically disappears when the LINK is enabled, but the Ableton Link value follows the deck pitch in 6.5.3.
Hi,
I wish Happy new Year to all colleagues from the Forum and Pioneer DJ team.
I am using heavily the Rekordbox Ableton Link functionality to keep Resolume Clips in sync with the music I am playing.
I am happy to have this functionality but of course as everything it can be improved, in my workflow the worst part is that is not possible to control the BPM of Ableton link from DDJ-RZX and I have manually to adjust the Ableton Link BPM in the laptop.
I do not know if Pioneer DJ is planning to improve this functionality and how complex it is, but one idea would be have a configuration in Rekordbox to set that the Ableton Link BPM will always follow the "Master Deck" BPM with that at least for my workflow will work perfecttly and I do not need anymore to adjust the Ableton Link BPM manually.
This is something that can be considered in a future Rekordbox release ?
Thanks in advance,
Sérgio

I dont know why this option is not implemented tbh, is such an asentiall function...
Hi Pulse,
I was wondering how to make the Ableton Link follow deck pitch in 6.5.3 version I was not aware about that, them after some tries in my
DDJ-RZX I figured out that pressing the Master button the Deck pitch information is send to Ableton Link and they are synchronized in the same BPM. So at least is a way to make things work together,
Thanks in advance

Hello Sergio, There is a new option in ableton 11 to follow the bpm. Its located under the ableton link show button option. You have to configure the recrodbox audio to act as the master channel for ableton to follow it (also configured in the same place). You can use "virtual cable" and ASIO drivers in order to pass the audio in to ableton while still using your sound card on the dj controller with recordbox. Use the option in recordbox to lisent to the master in your pc output too, configure the master output to master + virtual cable. Then in ableton configure the input with asio drivers, and make sure the channels are activated in the asio4all software. You should be able to lisnt to recordbox in ableton, and use this audio to make ableton follow the bpm by activating the "follow" boton displayed at the top left (like ableton link). Make sure to have ableton sesion on play, and add you instruments to sync to the ableton interface. Ableton will send the midi clock to them. You can make some searchs on your own to clarify this explanation, since im no expert but I tryed to explain as best as I could hehe. Good luck
