Hey David,
As the CDJ-900 has ProDJ Link over ethernet, you can connect the CDJ and the SP-16 together to synchronize the beat grids.
HELLO,
Has anyone been successful with getting the SP-16 to work with a rig like mine.
I have 2 x CDJ-900 and the 900 mixer (older first gen with Midi)
I just want to be able to make transitions from one CDJ to the Sp-16 and back to another CDJ.
Any help with be appreciated
Thank you, David Anthony

I'm actually using the DJM-800 mixer
Hi David. Page 20 of DJM-800 manual.
After you've done this, you've gotta confirm that SP-16 is set up to receive MIDI clock (tempo) information from the DJM. To do this, go into SP-16 Settings menu and make sure the following parameters are set as follows:
PROJECT SETTING (MIDI IN)
CLOCK: ENABLE
MIDI START/STOP/CONTINUE: ENABLE
NOTE/CC: DISABLE
That should have you sorted. Now SP-16 will lock to the MIDI clock signal coming from DJM-800, whose tempo should be following along to whatever signal is coming into it.
