RMX1000 Sampler Limit of 4 loops?

Why can't we use loops in the sample slots 2-4? Only Slot 1 allows loops. Having only 4 loops is extremely restrictive. I don't really want to play one shots, I'd much rather have a set of 16 drum loops to choose from. Couldn't this be changed in a firmware update?
