Thanks guys - this was addressed in the latest beta, please give it a try!
Hi,
my new DJM750MK2 has a problem with the beat FX. I use the Mixer in PC mode with Rekordbox DVS.
Let me explain it in a example. The BPM value from the track which I want to load is 128BPM and the pitch fader on my CDJ is at 0 postition. If I load the track to one of the decks the displayed BPM on the DJM750 Mk2 is also at 128BPM.
But if I want to pitch the track to another BPM value, the mixer shows a wrong BPM value on the display. If I pitch the cdj back to 0 position the BPM value goes back and showed the same value as on my selected deck. It seem that it does not detect the BPM changes.
Thanks guys - this was addressed in the latest beta, please give it a try!

Update!
I have checked this Auto BPM effect funktion with the older Rekordbox version 4. There it works fine, every BPM change is directly updated and matched with the Rekordbox deck and the auto BPM from my DJM 750 MK2 mixer. It seems that with Rekordbox 5.01 the sync via. USB freezes and does not recognize the BPM changes.
I have installed the newest firmware and drivers for my mixer!
What channel do you have the mixer's effect selector set to?
I have tested it on several channel positions.
I have connected my CDJs at channel 2 and 3 and my turntables on channel 1 and 4. The crossfader function is set for the left side on channel 1/2 and for the right side 3/4. Normaly in mix i choose on the effect selector crossfader a or b for the deck where i want to use the choosen effect. If i select one of the channels on the selector it is the same issue with the BPM detection.
For information, I do not mix 2 tracks on turntable and CDJ which are connected at the same crossfader position at the same time.
You're providing a bit of confusing information for me... can you please try this:
- disable the crossfader by unassigning it, as it's not necessary for this part of the test
- load a track to one of the decks in rekordbox DJ which is being controlled by the DVS (either 1 or 4);
- turn the FX channel selector switch to either channel 1 or 4
- with a track playing, does the BPM on the FX section of the mixer match the playback BPM of the track within rekordbox?
- if you change the pitch on the turntable, the BPM in rekordbox should change, does the BPM on the DJM's FX display also change to match?
Ok I undestand, sorry but my english is not the best.
I have loaded a track in deck one, the crossfader is off and the fx channel selector is also selected for channel one. The Pitch on my Turntable/CDJ is at 0 position and the now loaded and analyzed track has 128BPM. I started playing the deck and the displayed BPM in rekordbox is 128BPM and on my fx section also 128BPM. But now I pitch the track exactly to 125,00BPM in my rekordbox deck, but the BPM on the fx section shows me 127... 126...etc. If I now stop the track on deck 1 the BPM on the fx section is 125BPM like on the Rekordbox display.
In a mix i can not stop the track only for detecting the correct BPM on my DJM.
And with the older version of rekordbox the djm effect section detects these BPM changes exactly like on the rekordbox deck. I miss that.
"I pitch the track exactly to 125,00BPM in my rekordbox deck"
Did you change the pitch of the turntable so that the pitch was showing 125BPM in rekordbox, or did you switch to INTERNAL mode and adjust the pitch there?
Is deck 1 in the software assigned to channel 1 on the mixer?
I change the pitch on my CDJ800 in Relativ mode or absolute mode. internal mode i do not use. But i tested this and in internal mode it is the same.
Deck 1 in the software is routed to channel 2 on the mixer with a CDJ.
Deck 2 is routed to channel 3. with CDJ
Deck 3 is routed to channel 1. with Turntable
Deck 4 is routed to channel 4. with Turntable
The routing before 5.0.1 was the same.
@Martin > It sounds like a bit of a channel confusion...
If DECK 1 in rekordbox goes to CH2 on the mixer, the FX channel selector knob should be on CH2, not CH1.
But why does my routing setup work with version 4? Ok i will chek it with the original routing. I used the internal Routing programm from the djm 750 mk2.
No it is a missunderstandig Sorry. I mean that I have load the track to Rekordbox deck 1 which is routed to mixer channel 2. I have selected the fx channel ch2 for the beat FX. And then the bpm detection did not work correct.
Sorry, I'm not entirely sure - I'll have to ask the rekordbox team to have a look as I don't have a DJM-750MK2 here to try and replicate the issue.
Thank you.
Is it possible to upload an video? Then I could show you the problem.
What I could say is, that this issue is only with the new Rekordbox version 5. Under version 4 and the same setup config the B PM detection works fine.
I have found a user with a similar problem.
Yes - please post a video to YouTube, set as "unlisted" and link it here.
Hi. I have exactly the same problem with my DJM-450. I use Rekordbox 5.0.1 with DVS. The mixer is updated with the latest firmware.
The BPM displayed on the DJM-450 is correct when the pitchfader is at the 0% position. When I move the pitchfader, the the mixer shows a wrong BPM-value. It actually seems to double the offset. If I move the pitchfader +3% in Rekordbox, the BPM display on the DJM-450 displays +6%...
@Martin > Sorry, but I think there is a configuration issue causing that to happen, and I want you to please test this to clarify...
Your deck 2 (rekordbox) is assigned to channel 3 on the DJM. The FX selector is set to CH3. Can you please configure things so the deck in rekordbox matches the channel on the mixer and test again?
@Kristian > The BPM display on the DJM doesn't show a percentage.
Of course I know that the display doesn't display a percentage. I'm not stupid!
English is not my first language and I'm sorry if I didn't make myself understood.
What I'm saying is:
If the track has a BPM of 100 and I move the pitchfader until Rekordbox shows 103 BPM (+3%), then the display on the mixer shows 106 BPM (+6%).
If the track has a BPM of 130 and I move the pitchfader until Rekordbox shows 134 BPM (+3%), then the display on the mixer shows 138 BPM (+6%).
This seems to be consistent across all BPMs.
Hi Pioneer Team,
I checked your configuration note.
I have connected my CDJ on channel 1 of my DJM and routed the DVS signal to deck one of Rekordbox. The FX channel selector is also on pos.1.
After testing it, the situation is the same?
I have used two laptops for testing it, one is with Windows 10 and the other is a Mac with OS Sierra. On booth systems Rekordbox has the same problem with the BPM matching.
It is also the same in REL, INT and ABS mode.
I do not understand why it works fine with the old rekordbox version?
@Martin > Thanks for confirming that for me, I'll pass that along to the engineers.
Hello Pioneer Team.
The problem is still there Vers. 5.0.2. Is it possible that Pioneer could solve this issue?
Hi
I just tried the latest beta (5.1.0 beta4), and the problem seems to be fixed.
Thanks.
