I have 2 Yamaha studio speakers plugged into my DJM-900 Mixer using the XLR cbales. On the right output the speaker makes a soft screeching noise when it is plugged into the speaker and the speaker is turned on. When I plug the cable into the other speaker (same out put) it does the same thing meaning its not the speaker its the mixer. When I am playing music you cant hear it but it bothers me knowing it is there. Any idea on how this happens and how to fix it?

Please don't "bump" your thread.
I'm not exactly sure, but have you tried the TRS outputs on the mixer to see if you receive the same sound on the right channel?
Have you tried unplugging the DJM-900, waiting a minute (not sure if this power cycles), and plugging it into a different outlet?
Sometimes there can be a grounding issue or something to do with the power source and it can cause unwanted frequencies/humms in speakers.
Please try these if you can and let me know. Hopefully you have a TRS to XLR cable to try the TRS output.
I was going to also suggest trying a different set of cables -- or check that the Yamaha speakers are wired to receive the Hot/Cold/Neutral in the same configuration as the mixer sends.
