I think some of them are away this week
I think I remember Pulse said they would be in Japan this week.
@WestCoastFurth
I had and still have the exact same problem. I'm also using a MacBook Pro with a DJM-2000. I talked to Pulse and we came up with a solution. It's kind of an annoying solution in my opinion but that's all we got until Pioneer DJ comes out with better drivers. Since you are getting choppy audio, I can assume that you have the correct audio device and channels selected in your preferences. This is what you gotta do:
1) MacBook is on and DJM-2000 is on
2) Leave the DJM-2000 connected and powered on.
3) Restart your MacBook
Now, you should get a clear audio output. Note that if you turn off your DJM-2000 or you unplug the USB cable, you will have to restart your MacBook. No good for a live show setup!
We have such a high expectations for Pioneer DJ products and Apple's Mac line because both are known for their product stability, reliability, and performance, yet the setup between these two is flakey like no other. Unfortunately, we have to resort to restarting to get a clean connection; unlike all other USB audiocard devices out there which output normal audio when already connected and then powered on, audio works fine. PLEASE FIX THIS PIONEER DJ.
@WestCoastFurth > My apologies for net being able to reply sooner, have you tried @Shere's method?
What version of OS are you running on your Mac?
@Shere > What version of OS are you running on your Mac?
@Foster > I'm using 10.6.8. My Ableton Live is version 8.2.8. I get the same choppy audio through iTunes and Ableton Live.
@Shere > This may have to do with the changes made to Apple Core Audio from 10.6.7 to 10.6.8. The update from Apple affected a lot of sound devices and products from many major companies. I'm not exactly sure if this is the issue, but considering the change to Core Audio, I can't rule it out myself since I don't have a DJM-2000 to test it. I will look into it and see what I can do from my end, but Pulse or Gavin would probably be able to find out before me.
