Pioneer must be kidding!!!! Still the broken DJM-2000 here and releasing another product without finishing the former -.-
This is somehow some kind of betrayal to existing customers
Put the kids to bed so I can curse out these rip off merchants who sold me the original djm2000 and f$%ked me in the a&* for 3000$!!
I have nothing but utter disdain for this company and to think I contributed helpful advice to improve their RB program.
You've lost a customer in me Pioneer.
I'd spent many thousands already and if you'd retained my respect it could have been many more. But NO.
Wait with the complaints till we've seen what the new firmware offers, it should be out soon (hopefully)...
Any normal decent company would have the sense and common decency to fix the current product before releasing this - pr disaster.
Thanks for your benevolence Mr Silver Status.
It's SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
A company blatantly too big for it's boots and no care for retaining a customer basis, purely in it for the quick buck.
Sorry, no november update for us...
WHAT DID I SAY?? My post was deleted because apparently I was discussing rumours and then 2 days later... its confirmed. Im not sure if Gavin new about this but..
spot on ryan, and in 1 or 2 years there will be a white version :)
it looks exactly like the djm2000, no new knobs or butttons afaik.. im curious if the djm2k will have the same bells and whistles.. but if thats the case im quite sure they will only work with the cdj nexus
I wonder was the mountain lion driver release just a coincidence or was it really developed for the nexus...
Sounds promising, from the FAQ: http://pioneerdj.com/support/product.php?c=25&lang=en&p=DJM-2000NXS&t=faq
Tell me about the firmware update (Ver. 3.0) for the DJM-2000.
The same firmware can be used for the DJM-2000 and DJM-2000nexus. By updating your DJM-2000 to firmware version 3.0, the same functions as the DJM-2000nexus can be used on your DJM-2000.
Gentlemen, it wasn't abundantly clear on the mail shot however, as Oakstream has said, firmware v3.0 will become available towards the end of this month which will incorporate many of the bug fixes reported here on the forums as well as implementing as many new features from the new mixer as possible.
@Ryan > Of course, I knew. I knew about a year ago and I've been campaigning to get this firmware for the Mk1 mixer since then. When you posted it was still unannounced. That is, therefore, still a rumour.
well im happy if they sorted the fx volumes, i don't have the nexus players and i won't get them either.. no more beta testing
gavin can you confirm if the beat slice will be implemented on djm2000?
What's wrong with the current 2000's firmware? You guys have been acting like you're incapable of turning the levels down.
Le kid who used to dj om his djm900nexus walkes in to the club, enters the booth and voila... A djm2000..
Le kid starts to play and in the middle of his set he thinks he should give the fx a try.. :)
Le kid enters a breakdown and starts building it up again with the noise... Sadly he thought that the levels was ok but le kid was wrong about that.
Le kid suddenly clips the amps with a nice whitenoise at 150dB and everyone on the dancefloor is deaf and the rig is on fire-
Le kid went home and never dj'd again
At the default level (Ive never seen anyone touch the level knob on mine), the noise effect caps out at 10db. The effect isn't going to break anything any more than the track's gains will.
its way too loud, as the touch-panel fx are, they kill everyone on the floor if you don't put them down by at least the half of the volume
@william Plander
you should check your FW. Maybe you are still on the old one.
with so many people complaining day in and day out, I think this is maybe not a place for you to make chatter. You should see yourself out and enjoy your mixer that has nothing wrong with it amigo! Unless, we are all on crack and you are the real DJ.
I don't mean to be rude but clearly, you are someone that needs to be talked to very bluntly.
Cheers
Really? Maybe you should be complaining about the channel gains that get WAY TOO LOUD when you turn them all the way up. Or maybe responsible level management should just be a basic DJing skill.
Gavin,
The fact that you knew about this a year ago is a very disappointing comment to hear. Just goes to say how much input the first line of Pioneer Pro DJ's customer service has. 1 year as you admit, and you could not get the company you work for do anything to resolve it. Not when the white stuff came out, not when the gold stuff came out, not when the black stuff came out, not when the other firmwares came out, not when more white stuff came out....You get the picture I am sure.
Very sad to hear.
For those who don't get it, the headphones came in all the colors mentioned above. The decks and mixers of most lines came in white, the rmx came in white....I am sure you get it now too..
this post is getting funnier by the minute, uber excited about 3.0, hope they give us beat slice man
@William Plander
Part of me really wants to believe the way you are running your mouth you could just be using the older firmware where these gain issues were not introduced yet...
Either way, thanks for proving my point about your character. Again, this thread which has a bunch of us who agree on one thing is not for you man. You are ok with your mixer so be gone. Do you not have brains? There is many people who agree this is an issue and you think you're right? What is this world coming to? I will not be replying to you as your not even worth this reply.
Lets hope they actually test this before release, it could turn out channel fader 1 only works for the left output and channel fader 2 only for the right output and then we have to wait another year for a fix
I'm looking forward to v3. 100% Jet fade, I can only hope!
WE DESERVE THE BEAT SLICE!!!!!!!
In regards to the released video i couldn't think of anything thing worse than having a DJ partner
"... as many new features from the new mixer as possible."
LOL @ this one !
