[SOLVED] S-DJ 08 EOL?

Just took the plung and ordered the XDJ Aero. I also wanted to also purchase the SDJ 08's but they came up as out of stock and end of line. The sales man said this means they are no longer making this speaker. I was cursing as I really wanted Pioneer monitors for their flexibility.

So my question is, is this true? Is there a new range of monitors due soon?

I hope so as I don't want to be using my PC speakers for too long.

I seriously doubt that they are EOL. Have you tried an alternative retailer?

I didn't initially but since have found two who have them in stock. Just was glad to find a pair.

Does anybody know the reason why the SDJ-08 are EOL ?
I also own some and if i compare it to the newer SDJ-50 or whatever, the "old" series, looks much better with more flexibility.

is there a reason for that?

I know, they were so cool with that remote controller and the various inputs... but sadly, Pioneer have morphed the old models into two new models. I don't know the reasoning and unfortunately we'll never know.
