guys anyone own a pair of these cans? im trying to save for my second cdj2000 at the mo so im not wanting to get hdj2000's yet...... ive seen a few topics here for broken hd500's which i expect (it is a support forum after all) but id really appreciate it if anyone could give me any feedback on these headphones. would be good to hear from other dj's who use these cans day in day out

@Zeus > Biased though you may consider I am, the HDJ500s are a good pair of phones. Obviously, they lack the clarity and quality of the 1500s or 2000s but they are still pretty good. How much use would you be giving them? What kind of environment do you DJ in (you may be better saving a little extra for the 1500s)?
@gavin: I would be using them for bedroom dj'ing only. Thats why I was thinking about getting the 500's. would rather get the lower end headphones for now and get the 2000's later once I get my second cdj2k. I was using a set of sennheiser hd 205 and i tripped over the cable and broke them, so i reckon the hdj500 would be a step up withouht breaking the cdj2k piggy bank
@Zeus > Ah! Gotcha! I think you'll be happy with your purchase - naturally I'm going to recommend testing them if you can in your local DJ store beforehand.
HD500's (red) enroute :) delivery b4 the 5th dec.... hopefully the DJM2K 3.0 FW will be ready for when the headphones arrive......... double fistpump :)
