[SOLVED] Headphone EQ

As an owner of HDJ 2000s personally I dont like the tonal balance of them. It would be a great feature to have a simple tone control on them to set them up for personal preferences.

Ironic mode on:

_Yes: the low mid and high knob on the top of the headband hahahah ;) _

Ironic mode off

Thats the beauty, you dont have to buy pioneer hdj2000 headphones if you dont like the tonal balance of them. You can use the hdj 1500,hdj500 which have the other balance or headphones from other manufacturers ;) you can't be an egoist and if just you dont like it, tell pioneer to change it... please don't write posts like this if you want to be treat seriously...just a little reality...

Agreed I didn't have to buy these, but they were bought in an emergency without trying, so im stuck with them for now. It was just a feature that sprung to mind. On a cheap Numark mixer there's a tone control for the headphones which is great. This is something all headphones could do with. As a high end product even more so. Everyone's hearing is different. I'm sure Pioneer would rather sell a pair of HDJ2000s than another manufacturer's high end cans. So, I would suggest that you reign your ego in, and think a little more before giving it the large one.

So...again...i think your ego is so much bumped up...you think that if you bought "hdj2000 in emergency" and not feel quite good with them, just write to pioneer to change it...if you dont like ANY of your headphones eq, buy mixer with an headphones eq, but if you like to buy pioneer, just buy any headphones preamp with eq...nobody forces you to use pioneer product and (i will ensure you)pioneer wont feel a big dissapointment about your new decision not to buy it...have lots of other DJS and loyal customers (including me) who think that hdj-2000 has a great tonal balance and wont change them for any other headphones on the market. Dont tell everybody that if you think about something, and something is not right for you, pioneer should tell to the engineers: hey, james harrison doesnt like the tonal balance of hdj 2000, lets change it."...please...Only DJs like Armin Van Buuren, mr Parkinson etc can do it and suggest something and just beacuse pioneer want and expect it from them. And only in case of a new project creating..sorry mate...sad truth...

Sorry, your lack of English is showing through. You have completely misinterpreted my suggestion. I thought this was Pioneer's forum and somewhere to perhaps suggest product features not currently available. Im sorry you have taken such offence at my suggestion and that you feel the need to personally protect Pioneer's products so strongly. Anyone is free to suggest ideas here, that is the point of a forum. So you think Pioneer wouldn't like an idea suggested by an unknown forum member. The fact they actively participate in this forum would suggest otherwise.

...if you dont like the idea that is ok. If Pioneer dont like the idea that is ok too. But in a world where companies are looking to have an edge over their competitors I would think a way of adjusting the sound of a headphone to each persons taste would be very desirable. Especially if you are spending a lot of money.

So you should write that it is some future product suggestion..

My big ego says that a simple slider on the headphone cup, similar to the mono/stereo switch would be quite a neat way of doing it.

As I said Mateusz, your lack of English is letting you down.

@James > Thanks for taking the time to make a suggestion! I will pass the idea along to our engineers for consideration.

Whether you are Armin van Buuren or not, your custom is every bit as important to us.
