[SOLVED] Need Help Rmx 1000 + Ableton

I installed the plugin and in Ableton it works when i use it with the mouse.  But it don t react when i use the RMX 1000, if i move a nob or push a button on the RMX i can see in Ableton there is a MIDI signal input, but the plugin don t work.

In Ableton Preferences i turned everything ON by the MIDI port in and output of the RMX-1000, so i don t know why he don t works!!

The only strange thing is, in the Control Surface i can not find RMX-1000.

Hope someone can help me.

Thnx

I don't think the Ableton MIDI preferences matter since the plugin communicates directly with the hardware (For me it's working even with track, sync and remote all turned off, but I usually have track and remote turned on anyway)

Make sure you're running the latest versions of the RMX software (at the time of posting - firmware v2.0.1, remixbox v2.0.0 and VST v2.0.0).

Drop the plugin on a track, click settings and make sure "Plug&Play" is set to "ON". The "connect" icon in the top right should illuminate blue - you might have to turn the RMX-1000 off and on again to get it to connect.

Then for the hardware controls to work click the "link" button in the top left so that it is lit up in blue and saying "Link On".

Hope this helps!

Yes i've got the exact same problem. I'm running Ableton Live 8/Logic Pro 9 on OS X Lion.

It seems that the RMX has not been mapped to the plug-in. It will allow me to map other parameters outside of the the plugin to the hardware, but I cannot use the controller to effect the plugin.

I've exhausted all options, installed all the latest versions, gone back to old versions to see if that worked and updated the firmware etc.

Any ideas of what's going on here please?

Maybe this helps:

I just changed from windows XP to Windows 7 64 bit, installed Ableton 9 64 bit and the RMX 64 bit version. The RMX 64 bit wasn't connecting.

But as I was going through the process using J-Bridge for my 32 bit plugins to work in the 64bit version of Ableton live I figured that it also might help using that for the RMX plugin.

So I installed the 32 bit version, used J-bridge and now it is working fine!

I sometime shave to switch the remix on and off several times to get it connected but in the end it seems to work.

Maybe this will help you along, I hope so!

Hey!

A guy called Ian Cheyne posted this on a similar thread and it solved the problem for me instantly!

"I resolved my issue by putting the latest firmware .upd file on my RMX's SD card, putting it into the hardware, and updating it that way. There is a youtube video that shows this process, by a user, I believe it is titled "RMX-1000 Setup and Firmware Update". It is towards the end of the video that he explains the process of how to update the RMX's hardware using the hardware"
