djs software

My laptop was recently stolen and my djs software was on it, thank god i had had my music on external HD. First of all before i am to buy a new laptop, does it have to be a 32 bit operating system? or can it work with 64 now and do i use the old cd for loading sofware onto new laptop or do i need to an updated version?

Are you talking about the Legacy Pioneer DJS Software, if so it's only recommend use is on XP 32bit due to it's age, it physically installs OK on Windows 7 32bit but the drivers for the legacy hardware either don't exist or are not supported.

What hardware are you using?

Yes it is the same, Windows XP 32bit is recommended, anything higher will more than likely cause problems, Pioneer wont develope DJS as it's just too old, so i'm sorry to say you are stuck with XP

Obviously you could upgrade to another software package like Tracktor and use the SEP C1 as a HID controller for that, then this would allow you to use a newer operating software on your laptop

Excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by HID?

HID = Human Interface Device, in simple terms it means a controller that is native and doesn't need any configuration, just the same as DJS works
