SEP C-1 controling the old Pioneer CMX 5000 unit

Can SEP C-1 control the old Pioneer CMX 5000 unit? I have 3 CMX 5000 players in my company and I want to upgrade it with the SEP C-1 controlers to control Serato Scratch Live and play audio CDs some times too. The controler (and the MEP 7000 too)  fits very well with Scratch Live ( I work with it from 2008), but some times I need to work with audio CDs. Please give me a secure answer, because I don't want to fry some hardware. Thanks!
