CDJ-1000 mk3 digital out

Anyone know what the sampling rate and bit depth is on the CDJ-1000 mk3 S/PDIF outs?

For some reason this information is not in the Pioneer manual.

thanks!

I have checked the service manual for both MK2 as MK3, but there is no information in there that has the answer to your question. The CDJ-1000MK3 has a 24-bit heart but I doubt that the output is 24-bits.

The digital output of the CDJ-1000MK3 complies with the S/PDIF standards so it will probably be 44.1kHz.

The bit depth that is mostly accepted for S/PDIF is 20-bits, 24-bit is possible but not much equipments supports this so I doubt that the CDJ will send that out.

But why do you want to know ? All equipments/sound cards I've came across throughout the years accepted the signal and recorded fine and I never had any issues regarding the specs of the signal or it's acceptance.

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to get my MOTU Ultralite-mk3 interface SPDIF out to my DJM-800 SPDIF in for recording. However I get no input at all on the DJM-800 side. I've checked the Ultralite SPDIF by loopback and can sent via internal bus to the analog outs OK. So I know the Ultralite SPDIF out is working. Just cant get the mixer to accept digital from the Ultralite-mk3.

Using my internal soundcard SPDIF I can send to the mixer SPDIF in at 16 and 24 bit at 44.1, 48 and 96kHZ.

@deanwau > I'm confused, what did you need to know the CDJ-1000 MK3's digital out for?

Do you have a CDJ-1000 MK3 you are trying to connect to your DJM-800?

Have you tried using different channels on the DJM-800?

Just a note on this thread -- it's possible that the MOTU is sending non-linear PCM; we've noted problems in the past where devices that sent non-linear PCM digital wouldn't communicate with the products.
