CJD-800 Jog Wheel issue

Good day, folks.  Didn't see an 800 forum so I figured the 850 would be the next best one.  I have 2 Pioneer 800 MK2 decks in my studio.  One of them has an issue where the jog wheel simply does not work, it spins but does not rewind/fast forward or anything.  The platter, when held down, stops the track, but you cannot scratch either, when in vinyl mode.  This issue happened previously and was temporarily fixed after I upgraded the firmware to the latest.  Last night I did some research and found a tutorial on taking the unit apart and adjustingi the springs.  I did this, as well as looked for dust or debris, and the issue still persists.  I'm about to send it in for repair but I wasn't sure if you guys had any ideas you could toss my way.  The firmware is up to date currently.  When you spin the jog wheel it doesn't seem to have tension like the other deck does.  When I had it open to check the springs I stretched all three of them out, per the video.  Appreciate your time
