[SOLVED] CDJ1000mk1 pauses about 5 sec after turning jog wheel - what is latest version of CDJ1000mk1 firmware?

Hi,

I had my pair of CDJ1000mk1 since early 2003.  From time to time when I want to play the next track, select it and turn the jog wheel there is no response for lets say 5 sec, just pauses, then after 5 sec the jog wheel will start working as you would normally expect.  As this hadn't occured everytime it was never a major annoyance.  I recently had a failure on one of the decks and had to send it in to be fixed, so I took in both units to Melbourne, Australia Pioneer servicing centre to fix the 1 deck that won't read any discs and get both upgraded with latest version available.  The units are currently still at Pioneer.

Both units was manufactured August 2002 and would be running firmware dated at least older than that, taking into account the CDJ1000mk1 only came out in 2001 and was replaced by CDJ1000mk2 in 2003.  So I was always thinking that the problem would probably get fixed by some firmware upgrade. 

The techies are saying there is no firmware upgrade available at all but this link states there were, but states end users can't upgrade it and needs to be sent in to where my decks are currently.

Can anyone please confirm what the latest version of CDJ1000Mk1 firmware, assuming sometime after 2003 since CDJ1000mk2 was released.  If my units is already running the latest available, so be it but I do doubt that when looking at dates when it was manufactured. 

Any quick response would be appreciated so I can forwrad the details onto the techies in Melbourne who got the decks currently.
