Could someone please help me????
many thanks
Hey guys,
Has anyone had this appear on their CDJ 200's?? (or any other CDJ for that matter). If so, could someone explain what it means? Hope it doesnt mean the player is faulty!
thanks

Its a fault code for problems reading. Is it happening on every CD or just some?
Thanks for replying, really appreciate it. Yeah it’s happening on just some of my CD’s. But when I play most of my cd’s on the units, they do tend to skip a little or temporarily stop and then play again. Do you think there is a laser alignment problem or just that the unit needs to be cleaned?
I’ve gone and bought a cd laser lens cleaner but for some reason it doesn’t work. I’m now looking to get another one. Do you think it will be ok or do you know anyone who has done this? I think it would be a little too expensive to take to an authorised pioneer service centre and I want to sell them as quick as possible (this week)
Thanks
Are the CDs ones that you have burned? Anytime I had a CD code issue, I would burn new discs at a SLOW rate and change to different discs. I had good luck Maxell and Sony discs. Also are you running your MP3s thru MP3 Validator, if not try that out.
Hi,
No they are all the original cd disks. That’s why I’m finding it strange. And I’ve tried several cd’s. Is this cj code quite common then? Would it prevent me from selling the unit?
“Also are you running your MP3s thru MP3 Validator, if not try that out”
What do you mean this mate? I don’t know if it would apply to me as all my cd’s are the original ones
Thanks
If they are original CDs you may have to have it serviced, contact tech support for your area of the world for follow up. No it's not a common code or one that happens a lot. I have 2 x CDJ-200s and haven't had any issues with them!
Yes mate, I Think I will get them serviced. hope its not too expensive though! i used a disk cleaner but that hasnt done the job.
cheers
@Sonny > To late at this stage but to any one else DO NOT USE A DISK CLEANER!
Hi Gavin,
Thanks for letting me know (for next time). Why won’t you use a disk cleaner then? Does pioneer have their own special disk cleaner?
Cheers
It has long been known that disk cleaners "can" take lasers out of adjustment, not always, but it does happen. Therefore Pioneer maintains that the best way, outside of preventative (keep players covered/use clean disks/stay away from dusty areas if possible), to keep things clean is to have them professionally cleaned. As for how often, I have players that are 10 years old and work great and have never been cleaned, I just keep them cased and away from problems.
