so got my gear back from a gig and one of the cdj's doesn't want to read the disc and comes up with the error 8301, this happens about 5-10 seconds after i put the disc in, it is not due to dirty or scratched discs as i have tried brand new ones to try and narrow down the problem, A big thing i noticed is that their is no noise coming the cdj when the disc is inserted almost like cd isnt spinning? any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like something mechanical has failed - could be the optical drive or a supporting circuit board, perhaps a loose cable. Please contact Pioneer technical support (links to the right) to locate an authorized repair shop near you to have the unit serviced.
