Any ideas?
I'm trying to use CDJ-2000 (firmware v4.04) with Traktor Scratch Pro 2.03 with Standard HID mode. When I first plug in the USB cable between CDJ2000 and the laptop, and hit LINK I get to choose the USB-MIDI connection and CDJ asks me for the Deck A/B/C/D assignment for Traktor.
But it seems I'm not able to change the deck assignment without disconnecting the USB cable from CDJ. No matter how much I press LINK button, or BACK button it doesn't allow me to change the deck assignment.
Is there a way to change the HID Deck assignment?
Unplugging the USB cable works, but I'd think there has to be an easier way..

@Pasi > You can't change the assignment after having locked it in without disconnecting the USB or quitting the program.
Ok, thanks.
Is this still the case with the 2K Nexus and Traktor 2.6?
It would be very handy to be able to swap decks on the fly, but I can't find a way to do this.
Ok I have pairs of 2000v 4.20 and 2000 NXSv.1.06. When the NXS connected and linked traktor scratch pro 2 v2.6, switching from link to disc is quite easy. When switching the NXS states "PC Connected. Push Selector to continue. Or push the back button to cancel." The NXS switches to disc mode and unlinks from the PC.
I shut down and disconnected the NXS and connected the 2000 to the PIC in Advanced HID Mode to Traktor, played a track and it works as designed. When switching the 2000 there is no "PC Connected. Push Selector to continue. Or push the back button to cancel." However the 2000 switches to disc mode and unlinks from the PC. Having the NXS 2000 connect first seems to have corrected the unlink problem on the 2000. I tested this several times no problem. Pioneer Techs please confirm.
2000 nexus: If I switch from Traktor LINK to DISC, whilst DISC is now selected I am still linked to my Mac - because, if I hit LINK again, it takes me back to exactly were I left on my screen - I do not get the option to select another deck.
Selecting either Rekordbox, USB, SD or DISC does not unlink from LINK to enable Traktor deck reselection.
what version of the NXS are using? I upgraded to 1.06. I cant duplicate your issue because I dont own a MAC.
1.06 too.
@Kieron > Mac handles the audio soundcards differently to a PC so if @Tony says it works on PC then I trust him it does. If you can't get it to work on Mac then this is likely why.
Yes, I am not disputing the integrity of Tony's post at all, just re-affirming that that does not work for me.
So, back to the original point - is there a way to unlink a Traktor deck to engage another from the same player - if not, can this be added in a further firmware update? Having to turn the unit off mid-set to re-select another deck is not conducive to workflow.
Thanks.
@Kieron > Oh sure, I'm not denying that - I just don't have a PC to test on right now.
No I don't believe its possible as the soundcard has to 'reset' itself. I know we've asked for this before but I'll bring it up again just to make sure I have my information correct.
Ok, just to throw something into the mix then, I'm going via a Traktor Audio 10 interface, so not using the sound interfaces on the players...
Thanks for your attention on this, Gavin.
@Kieron > Why are you using the Audio-10?
As I'm using Traktor I also route a Kontrol F1 and Kontrol X1 through to deck C and D respectively, so I need the soundcard. Would love to get rid of the Audio 10, but I need use of those controllers.
@Kieron > Ah ok, now things are making sense.
