can we plug the ipad into 1 of the 2 decks via usb to use the ipad as the search screen for a usb drive plugged into deck 2?
Im confused at one point, there is no built in wireless? that means we have to use a wireless router but we were told for years not to use a router for cdj's to use a switch, what now?

the wireless connection through the Ipad or Iphone ... can choose which ship deck the music, as is the Aero??
The CDJs have wifi card in them?
I Djm 2000 and want to connect lan in the mixer and not use wireless Rub, put forward by the music wi fi, is possible?
OR, can we just add a wireless access point to the existing switch we have?
good question.. would like to know the answer to that.
/me awaits wireless djm2000 nexus :)
This link have the answer, do not like: # p1 http://pioneerdj.com/english/products/player/cdj-2000nexus.html
shit, so i wonder how long before stuff happens being we were told to use switches, not routers
the new nexus cdj 2000 should have their own wifi card, and need not rub, equal to AERO.
it should, but looks like it doesn't
from the link above you will read.
*5: Works with music that has been beat-analyzed by “rekordbox™”.

thus the CDJs 2000 if sofer an update tbm can receive songs wi fi.
Ok so there's a diagram on that Pioneer page which details exactly how my setup is configured at the moment. in terms of decks, mixer, and networking. As of RekordBox 1.6.2, Linking over wireless suddenly stopped working.
Pioneer, have you deliberately crippled that feature for non-nexus CDJ-2000s?
No, there is no built-in wireless.
so can we just add an access point to an existing switch?
BriChi, yes, that would work.
@BriChi > There are 2 methods of using external rekordbox devices:
thanks foster but the image on the right, will that just play a track from the ipad or are you able to use the ipad plugged in via usb in deck 1 to scroll through and search music loaded on a plugged in usb drive in deck 3 for example?
@BriChi > In the wired solution, I believe it is play from that source only and not search another source.
Can you play from one source via USB and search via Wireless ... like the Aero ??
Or is there a possibility this feature could be implimented.
USB in Deck 1 ... Ipad in Deck 2, ad you can search via the Pro Link
Or even WIFI ??
Seems very very wierd the Aero has this feature - and the all singing all dancing 2000nexus Does NOT ?!
yeah, still would love to know what the abilities are of all this with the ipad and searching other plugged in devices, nothing really in the owners manual at all
also, how is the searching on large library's? We all know with the 2000mk1 it is very poor once you get above 16,000 tracks or so
The Aero made it very clear ... what you could do in the manual, its very very fague on the new 2000nexus.
I just want to Plug in my SSD HD in Deck 1, and use an Ipad to search though it in Deck 2
same here
The only way I can see doing it is to use a Anderoid and a 128 GB SDXC Card to search! This is not even guaranteed to work
Some confirmation please Pioneer.
Thanks
