So, to partly answer my own post, i see there is a driver update to v1.2 dated 29th Oct. (I haven't loaded it)
However this, according to other proud nexus owners, solved nothing.
Pioneer - WHEN?
Having (unfortunately) purchased a pair of cdj2000nexus some weeks back I, like many others, am suffering with endless issues. I am still running firmware v1.02 which came with the players and am afraid to "upgrade" until Pioneer can sort this mess out.
On the forums is a post from Pulse dated Oct 26th stating a new firmware would be available on 29th Oct? Where is it? The latest firmware I can see available is v4.20 which was released on 16th October. That is now over 3 weeks ago and, as far as I can see, there has been NOTHING since.
Pioneer, your customers need POSITIVE answers to these MAJOR issues and we need them quick.
SORT IT OUT.

Pioneer - WHEN?
I asked a simple question. Can my decks be fixed via a firmware update.
All I want is some idea of what the engineers have found.
Guess what? my post got deleted! DISGRACEFUL!
Version 4.20 is for the CDJ 2000, NOT the CDJ 2000 Nexus. Ignore that one if you're using the NEXUS.
The latest firmware for the CDJ 2000 Nexus (from the 29th October) is version 1.04, available at http://pioneerdj.com/support/product.php?lang=en&p=CDJ-2000NXS&t=178
I'd advise installing the 1.04 firmware - it doesn't fix most of the problems, but it doesn't appear to make things worse, and bug reports are only useful if you're running the latest firmware.
As for Leee's question: Can your decks be fixed via a firmware update? Eventually, yes they almost certainly can. Can they be fixed right now with a firmware update? No. Will there be any fixes for the showstopper bugs any time soon? Only Pioneer knows, and they aren't telling, much to the annoyance of pretty much EVERYONE.
@ Lee - They suspended my account after i told them how crap they are!
@ Andrew - I am not willing to install 1.04 just in case it makes thing s worse AND as for bug reports - I've paid top money for these players, Pioneer can do their own testing and repairs as far as I am concerned. It's not my place to waste my time doing their work for them.
I've updated to the 1.04 firmware.
Aside from making the traffic light feature, the same colors as a traffic light and highlighting an upcoming cue point when a song is playing, it has not introduce any new problems. It also does not fix any of the current MT issues.
My recent posts also got deleted ..............
There is no point trying to cover this up .... The Nexus Firmware is a mess .... and needs sorting - Listen to your customers Pioneer.
GIVE US SOME ANSWERS,PIO! IT'S NOT GOOD!
Pioneer are more interested in bringing out a white version of everything first before fixing problems!
@ Mark - LOL! I noticed that when i received emails this morning advertising the white RMX1000. - I don't think i'll bother!!!
It appears they've had some tuition from Apple!
wont be long till they only sell to the look ive got white headphones am cool crowd!
Pioneer is starting to look like a OVERMARKETED 'hype' company bringing out all of these color variations, low and mid end dj controllers and other gimmicky stuff.. well that's good for them and I understand they are also a company to make money but to achieve and hold that great status they have in DJ/Musicland they should know that customer service goes a long way into achieving succes..
Succes can be temporary and if they keep heading this direction, sooner or later it will cost them a lot of (future) customers and will lose a lot of their famous status for the cdjs
I really hope they sort out all of the pro range products with decent updates and customer support..
It would also be nice to re-write the company regulations and actually speak up some more when there are issues..
some new bugs ive just found:
I had reported the menu issue too, the menu on 1 deck changes while stuff is going on on the other. Sucks and distracting
Rekordbox 2.0.1 crashes if you you look at it the wrong way or sneeze, it's sad
@Bri exactly.. its really sad.
Do you guys also notice a really annoying behavior when using sync and then disabling it? (like in the other thread)
I am not sure if I am having the same issue others are having but for some reason the track BPM does not go back to the original one after disabling sync and I cannot use the pitchslider.. really irritating me now
I don't use sync, sorry, cant say
Check the tempo sync thread Will. It's not a bug.
I was thinking the same as will but now i see! so its a thing to prevent the bpm jumping back and causing a trainwreck..
** **
It needs sorting ... I echo the sentiment ... what is the point of releasing all these new products ... when the "Flagship" FIRMWARE ... is not fit for purpose !! (though technically the CDJ 2000 Nexus's - are great ... build, feel of the unit and potential)
i notice Gavin has been on the forum recently but somehow missed this thread?
How strange (not).........
@Andy > You're right, I have been on the forums - most of the day in fact. I've a huge number of threads to answer and didn't get to this one on my list yet.
Yes he has and this is what he said to me before closing another thread.
"@Leee > There have been no deletions of 'simple questions'. Opening threads and shouting "you're crap" is constructive to no one and subsequently, those are the threads that are closed"
NEVER have I opened a thread and said "you're crap" so I suggest you get your facts right.
I opened a thread and asked if my CDJ 2000 nexus decks could be fixed via a firmware update - that is it! and by the way YOU NEVER ANSWERED MY QUESTION.
@Leee > I never implied that you did say that - this does go to show the exact hostility been shown to Pulse and I despite the fact we are on your side in trying to get these issues resolved.
Yes, the engineers will address any bugs by means of a firmware update.
But Gavin - WHEN????
Give us a clue - this weekend? next week? next month? When we've finished painting everything white????
Thank you. I don't know why you didn't answer my question in the thread I opened rather than delete it (after all it was a "simple question").
There is no hostility at all but I do not appreciate you closing my thread then responding the way you did.
I couldn't agree more with You both. Andy and Lee.
Hmmm??
More than 2 weeks since the useless firmware update and still nothing. Not even a clue......
Either Pioneer are struggling to fix these problems or they just don't give a toss.
And again! Where's da new FW??? What we gonna do with it?
Will be taking the nexus back to the store tomorrow. I'm not risking 3k for something that can't keep up with the product that's been discontinued.. Lucky I have my cdj2000 mk1 to do back to back testing with and the nexus are a joke.
I'm pro pioneer, we all are as that's why we have purchased their latest offerings in the first place and I have no issues with any of the moderators as they are in a catch 22 as employees, just seems a shame that any negative comments and the threads are deleted..IMHO a little over censored. Still waiting for a djm 2000 update and I'm not willing to wait around for the fw on the nexus.. Too little too late
I'm thinking too about selling my cdj2000.
Go back to cdj1000 or something.
The engineers have been able to replicate many of the bugs reported from users on here as well as fixing some they've discovered themselves. An announcement will be made shortly.
