Cdj 900 nexus going into loop by itself

The other night I had one my 900 nexus' would just start looping by itself at random points, it would start with a 4x4 loop and then shorten until it was just a high pitch noise. If you hit loop out it would continue but then go back into it. It did this in both USB mode and Cd mode. I had no auto loops saved on the usb stick either. I tried to do a factory reset and it continued to auto loop for no reason. I updated the firmware and have yet to see it happen again. Hopefully that fixed it but time will tell. I have no idea what happened. Just an FYI if this happens to anyone else.

Well it has happened again several times. I don't know what the problem is, my guess is the main board is bad. Apparently I am the only one to ever have this issue because I have found no info on it. I cannot trust this cdj at all. The other one works flawlessly but I am guessing a manufacturing defect or somespkilled something on it andbdidnt say anything. Not sure. Any have an exploded view of the cdj 900 nexus or a parts schematic?

I had several gigs since April, and my babies never let me down once, you better send it back, this is surely covered by the guarantee, and in my opinion, nothing you can fix by yourself.

It's just the one that's being weird. The other is perfect. They both are currently working and when I tried to video tape it doing it, it works perfectly. I will be getting with pioneer tomorrow.

Messed with it a bunch and finally recreated the problem. My best guess is it has something to do with the new beat divide feature. It's at the shop under warranty so we will find out shortly.

Firmware is up to date. Also tried going back to old firm ware. Problem persisted. I can garuntee the problem is in the hardware. Most likely something to so with the board that cntrols the beat divide.

Well I got it back from the repair shop. They ended up replacing the main board. It took half a day of playing on it but it started doing it again. I caught the tale end on video this time but of course since I was recording it wouldn't do it again. The loop exit button was lengthening and shortening the loop instead of exiting. Its back at the shop now. I think I got one bad unit. Hopefully it gets replaced but who knows. Pioneer has been very helpful though. I will keep you updated.

The repair shop says they have a cdj 2000 (non nexus) that has the exact same issue.

im leaning towards thinking it may be a faulty auto loop button or a short in the board. The board would be the large one that has all the buttons for auto loops, LOOP IN, OUT etc.... I don't believe thats the "MAIN" board, the "MAIN" assy on the 900 (non nexus) is just the small board with the ethernet, usb, main chips, and so on, pretty much the brain, but if its a faulty button then the board for instance on a normal 900 is the ""KSWB Assy """

I am no tech at all and we really cannot provide too much info but this is my guess if I had it in front of me
