CDJ 900 USB device not recognised over HID

Hi,

I am experiencing a problem whilst connecting my CDJ 900 over HID mode with Traktor.

This problem has only started happening since swapping out my mixer. Whenever I plug the usb cable into my laptop a popup notifying me that the USB device malfunctioned or is not recognised. When in traktor I select link on the CDJ and it says connected but I can not scroll to select a traktor deck to control.

I have updated latest firmware, drivers, traktor version. I have also tried different USB ports, cables, powered hub all with the same result. I have tried un installing the usb drivers but no success. My other CDJ 900 works on the same port.

I am on a windows 8 machine if that helps. 

let me know if there is any other info needed.
