Question for anyone that owns a CDJ 900NXS

Does this player have a pitch slider with a center click for absolute zero or is it seamless like the CDJ-2000? Thank you.

Shoot, forgot to check when I got home from work last night. As I remember it, the click is there, but it is absolutely no problem to pitch +- 0.02 around zero. Will check my nexuses tonight.

@Pulse, what players in your CDJ line offer seamless pitch slider without the detent? Thank you.

Only the CDJ-2000 models do not have a detent. I'm not 100% sure about the XDJ-1000 though.

XDJ-1000 has the detent too. Think it's connected with the reset button only present in CDJ2000/nxs which should replace the detent. I love this button, is much quicker and better for me;)

@Mateusz > Thanks for the verification, and you're right - any unit with a reset button would not have the detent.

Right, the same goes with the PLX1000 for sure. The only players with no detent are the CDJ2000/2000NXS,  PLX1000.

hello,

i also have this detent on the zero of the pitch on my xdj 1000 :(

does anybody knows if it's possible to remove it, like we used to remove the ball on the zero of the pitch slider of the technics sl-1200 at the time ?

pressing harder on the pitch to get out of the detent zone makes me go further than +0.02 or -0.02 everytime :/

also, the strange thing is that it takes to slide the pitch many millimeters from +0.02 to -0.02; a distance that on the rest of the pitch would correspond to a bigger variation of speed :P

i wish i could make the pitch seamless; if i specifically want 0% tempo adjustment, i can always move the pitch fader until it displays 0%...

or can i just use a "dententless" pitch slider coming from a cdj 2000 and mount it on the xdj 1000?

(i don't know if the different models of cdj 2000 have different pitch slider, and wich one would fit my xdj 1000 the best, if that's possible...)

I found out that the dcv 1033 fader mounted on the xdj-1000 & cdj 900 is of 50kohms value, while the dcv 1013 mounted on the cdj 1000/2000 is of 10kohms value, so at least i can tell that on cannot be used as a direct replacement for the other...
