LOL sorry I don't mean to drag this out but just want to know for my own knowledge...

If the DJM 900 NXS2 has a sound card like the 900 NXS, what is there to be compatible?  Since Traktor does not require an external dongle like Serato, is this not just a plug and play scenario like the 900NXS?

Traktor and Serato DJ both require sound cards that are certified by their respective parent companies.  Other companies, such as Abelton, do not require such certification.

So are you saying that:

A) If you tried to plug in Traktor to the 900NXS2 right now then Traktor would not work? (and I understand we cant get one now)? And by work I mean if you used it with a pair of CDJs...

B) if I went to the store and bought any sound card (that had enough IN's/OUT's) then Traktor would not work with it to be used with CDJ's as a DVS system?

I only ask as I am under the impression that any sound card would work with Traktor, providing your sound card has enough In's/Out's to do what you want to do with it.

I expect the mixer would work for standard outputs, but not necessarily DVS support, and certainly not within their "click to select the device for plug-and-play" setup wizard.

Regarding the CDJs, the MIDI may work but I wouldn't believe there to be any HID support as there are enough differences between this unit and the CDJ-2000NXS that it wouldn't just be a matter of picking up the previous settings and matching them to the new model.

Is it possible now? to use Traktor DVS with the DJM 900 NXS2?

i bought the DJM900NXS2 and use it for 1 week with Traktor in my studio with no problems. but the last friday i played in a party and only work with traktor for 5 minutes and now back in my studio its NOT WORKING...

Pioneer DJ is in negotiation with Serato and Traktor to incorporate HID support for their software.
